Love Your Work Frequently Asked Questions
When are the live calls?
For the October program the live calls are at 12.30pm - 1.30pm Melbourne time.
What happens if I can’t attend the live calls?
It’s not a problem if you can’t attend all (or even any) of the live calls. Hardly any of the Love Your Work participants attend every live call.
You can access the replay very easily by watching the video replay online or you can listen to the replay through a private podcast (on the podcast platform of your choice - Spotify, Apple, Google etc).
If you can’t attend live you can still submit your questions that Ellen will answer. You will also get the use of Ellen’s support through the Love Your Work community platform and also Ellen’s personalised Love Your Work GPT which will give you a career coach in your pocket.
I think I need a 1:1 coach, not a group program
The reason Ellen started the Love Your Work program was because she was noticing that her clients were not getting strong enough and fast enough results working 1:1. In her view, 1:1 coaching is great for mindset shifts but when it comes to working out what you want from your career, a structured, step-by-step approach with support of a group and a coach who holds you accountable actually gets much stronger results.
If you still think that you’d benefit from 1:1 support, Ellen does offer a 12 week 1:1 coaching container, and you can get the details of that here.
I just need some quick help, do you provide a one-off chat?
No, Ellen does not provide one-off support. She’s found that most career challenges are layered and nuanced and need more than a quick chat to see real change.
It seems kind of expensive
Fair enough! Only you can know your budget, but Ellen knows that the Love Your Work program gets amazing results - pay rises, new jobs, career transformation and work-life systems that actually work. If you’re job searching at the moment, you can make your money back by getting a job faster. If you’re looking to change jobs, you can get a great return on your investment by negotiating a pay rise. But most importantly, you spend most of your time at work and just enjoying your work better than you do today is incredibly valuable.
Maybe it’s not the right time for me?
Is there ever a right time? Most of our Love Your Work clients wish they had done the course sooner. The great thing about Love Your Work is that you can repeat the course for just 10% of the price ($300) if you need some more time, so why not just start? And know that you’ll be well supported if you need to go at a slower pace.
What if I end up being behind?
First of all, there’s no such thing as behind in Love Your Work - it’s important that you go at your own pace. You will have access to all the content for 6 months with an option to extend your access for $150. You also have the option to repeat the course if you need more support for just $300.
Can I get my money back if it’s not what I thought it would be?
Yep, Ellen has a no questions asked money back guarantee so it takes all the risk out of the decision for you.
Is the program tax deductible?
Yes, it’s important to get your own tax advice but the course is deductible for most people (as a self-education expense)
I’ve just been made redundant, can Love Your Work help me?
100% - Love Your Work is perfect if you’ve just been made redundant. Ellen will help you make sure that you don’t jump in to a ‘panic’ role and Ellen and the Love Your Work community will be you every step of the way to boost your confidence back up, help you apply for your next gig and support you through your negotiations.
I’m worried that working in a group isn’t private
We have strict confidentiality terms and conditions in the group, but as a former lawyer, Ellen absolutely understands how important privacy is. There are options to submit your questions anonymously if you want to feel more confident about privacy too.
When is the next Love Your Work program?
The next program starts on Tuesday 28 October 2025 and the last chance to join is Friday 24 October 2025.
